NYFW: Media Lounge: Jess Rizzuti

A great perk of Fashion week are media lounges filled with new designers to meet and hot items to look at! I headed to the Nolcha Fashion lounge last week hosted at The Empire Hotel (across from all the Fashion Week happenings at Lincoln Center) for a meet & greet with independent fashion brands and lifestyle products, and some pampering by Uberliss.

Jess Rizzuti designed her first collection in 2009 using rich materials combined with luxe styles and great attention to details. Jess develops each pattern by hand in her studio and all of her handbags are produced locally in New York. Her eco-friendly designs, using cork earned her nominations in the Best Green Handbag Designer Awards sponsored by InStyle. Her eco-friendly designs utiliz water-based dyes and glue, heat-transferred patterns, renewable resources and waste-reducing concepts.
