James' First Birthday

JAMES IS ONE & wow, what a whirlwind year in the best kind of way. I must say the statement the days are long but the years are short holds so much truth right now in the disbelief over how fast a year has flown by. We celebrated our little boy surrounded by friends and family and couldn't have been more happy with how his "wild one" party turned out.

Let's get into the details!

Invitations: We chose the theme based off of James' love for animals (read more about it here) & turned to Greenvelope for the most perfect invitations & to help us track our guests.

Location: We turned our backyard into a backyard jungle for all of our guests

Decorsafari decor & cake topperleaf print table clothhigh chair bannerparty plates & cupsballoonselectric pump, I used these liquid pen chalk markers to label items around the party on these chalk board easels + we turned his push car into a safari animal ride that was a huge hit with the kids!

Instead of goody bags I had bubble wands available for the kids & I personalized picture frames with photos of James and all of the kids that came to his party with these acrylic paint markers. We also had animal coloring books & crayons & I printed out a personalized outlined photo of James for the kids to color.

Food: Pizza, bagels, tuna, white fish salad, cream cheese, egg salad, hummus, tzatziki & veggies + snacks, veggie straws, tortilla chips & animal crackers

Birthday Cake

Drinks: Wine, Beer, Cocktails & Coffee for the adults, Juice boxes for the kids

We had such a blast celebrating James' first birthday and the way he dove right into his cake we know he had a blast too. Hoping everything slows down a bit because I don't want him to grow up too fast but I am happy to be along for the ride.
