It's official - I am in full wedding planning mode!
After my August engagement in Scotland I returned home to New York only to throw myself head first into Fashion Week, followed by Bridal Market Week. Adding that to making time to see (and celebrate with!) all my friends quickly filled up my calendar, but I've never been happier.
I must admit I don't know the first thing about wedding planning. Want me to find the perfect office appropriate flat? I’m your gal. But I’m not one of those girls who has been clipping pictures of venues and wedding decor and collecting them in books since I was 11 years old - honestly, I’ve sort of been hoping that some magical wedding planning fairy would swoop in and help me out! I had heard of WeddingWire and decided to plunge right in and download the app to help me sort through the initial planning stages. When they say "stop stressing and start wedding planning" they mean it. WeddingWire is the most user friendly app designed to help brides-to-be choose everything they need for their special day.

Venues: In New York alone there are 340 Venues of various size, style, and vibe which could make selecting a venue an extremely overwhelming process. Thankfully the WeddingWire Venue feature helps you sort through the different venues based on capacity, type, and setting (whether you want outdoor space like a winery, golf course, farm, or indoor like a - mansion or ballroom). Each venue is rated with personal reviews, which are extremely helpful when it comes to sorting out the details you need to make the right selection. You can even contact a venue directly through the app, which helps you keep all the wedding details in one place so that you don't get too overwhelmed.
User tip: Don't get email happy and contact every venue under the sun (or under the app!). Pick your top 3 and work from there.

We all think we have an idea of what we want in terms of a bridal dress but until you are actually standing in front of a three-way mirror clad in layers of lace, tulle, satin, you have NO idea. I always thought I knew exactly what I wanted and exactly how I wanted to look on my wedding day. But the minute I walked into my first bridal store to shop for myself my ideas completely changed.
