As a woman in NYC I know what it is like to struggle as you try to push boundaries in your career and in life and that is why I am so passionate when it comes to companies that support women. UNLEASHED is a social impact brand founded by Kara Ross, a company that supports girl's education and job creation globally. Recently UNLEASHED identified a collective of artisan women in India within a town called Bareilly, south of Delhi and gave women the opportunity to empower themselves through the workplace. The designers known for their beading are able to work from their homes while taking care of their families and providing for them. 

The women in the collective have been creating 100% organic cotton + beaded and embroidered ready-to- wear garments in government compliant factories and have broken boundaries by making over the minimum wage. 

These designs are inspired by Indian Bindis, bringing together the fusion of color and culture to each hand designed piece. The bindi represents womanhood mirrored in strength and character. 

UNLEASHED has partnered with Girl UP and Dress for Success with a goal to shine a spotlight on female artisans by bringing their product to market with top US retailers. The company prides itself on UNLEASHING women's potential by creating opportunities to break the poverty cycle.
