Paper Heart Blooms

Living in an NYC apartment can be tough when you love flowers, I love the look and the colors they add to my apartment however, because of the dry heat they wilt within a day. Some days I still give in to the temptation, grab a bouquet and only wake up the next day with disappointment. Thankfully I came across Paper Heart Blooms and found a way to liven up my apartment with hand dyed paper flowers that are just as beautiful as the real thing.

My beautiful bouquet in my at home work station
Paper Heart Blooms was founded by Ashley Cox and is based in Lexington, Kentucky. Ashley found herself in a bind when she wanted peonies for her October wedding. Being that peonies are out of season during that time she decided to make her own and created this unique style of paper flowers. After that she started creating bouquets for friends and family and then landed an account with Alex and Ani stores throughout the US, Canada and Caribbean. The rest you can say is history!

What I love even more is that for every bouquet purchased, Paper Hearts Bloom donates a bouquet to hospitals in the central Kentucky area to patients that can not have fresh flowers in their rooms due to health concerns. So, while you are either sprucing up your apartment, sending a bouquet to a friend or decorating tables at your wedding you are also giving back and making a special gesture to a patient in need.
