August is a tough time where it's still warm (excessively so in NYC) and you still want to purchase those cute summer dresses yet your head is telling you you need to move on and purchase items for September. During this month I tend to sway towards transitional pieces, items that you can wear now but that will also take you into September and October with no fail.
I've rounded up a few of my favorites to buy now and wear through fall and yes, I am taking a break from black and leaning towards Navy for August through the start of fall.
