Date Night Outfit

Thursday, August 15, 2019

There is something to be said for getting dressed up and heading out to dinner for date night. After a year of marriage and an addition of a dog it's easy to fall into the "let's get into pajamas watch Netflix and order dinner" routine. And please- there is nothing wrong with that, I absolutely love those nights but I also love getting dressed up and going out to dinner just the two of us.
What do I also love? Exploring different areas and finding new places to eat every time! The city has so much to offer and so many great new restaurants to try (as long as you make a reservation) it makes this one easy.

Recently we checked out the Michelin rated restaurant in Long Island City Casa Enrique for some southern Mexican food and I was blown away. I absolutely love Mexican food- you can feed me tacos and guac every day and and I would be one happy girl. I got the Doña Blanca- roasted chilies poblanos, onion, rolled in corn tortilla, tomatillo sauce, lettuce, black beans, crema fresca, queso fresco, and avocado and didn't leave room for dessert because I cleaned off my plate.

Don't let this tied one shoulder jumpsuit fool you- I know it looks like it's expensive but it's only $17 and it fits like a glove! It comes in four colors and I have definitely contemplated scooping up another one. I paired it with a nude pair of pumps and added another pop of color with this cute basket satchel by Etienne Aigner. I also love how easily this jumpsuit can transition to fall by adding a leather jacket or a long cardigan and can't wait for the leaves to start changing colors.

What I Wore: tied one shoulder jumpsuit Shein c/o nude pair of pumps Charles David, basket satchel Etienne Aigner (on lend)
