New Year Updates

Ok, I admit it, I have been a little MIA here. It's not my fault, I blame a busy life for keeping me away but there have been so many great moments the past few months that I couldn't wait to share with you all!
Let's start with our big move, we left New York City but don't worry we just moved right over the bridge and are now in Long Island City. If you follow me on instagram @fashinny I am sure you have seen my updates as I have been focusing on setting up my new place (especially my walk in closet) - we are almost there but still have a few things left to unpack and set up.
We are searching for a puppy! Yes, I said it! I did not grow up with pets (I lied, I had a fish and a frog- a pink frog) in fact I was absolutely petrified of dogs growing up. When I first moved to NYC I was the girl who would sooner get hit by a car running across the street than walk by a dog. I once tried (and failed) to climb up on the bar in the elevator to avoid being near one. I have gotten better over the years and have come to love dogs. Greg is absolutely set on getting one, I am chiming in to make sure it's the cutest one around!

We are going to Portugal! Portugal has been on my list for quite some-time and I am so excited to travel again and enjoy some time out of New York. We usually travel in the Summer and were planning on visiting Austria but because of Greg's job we had to switch it up and Austria was a bit too cold for this time of year. I did some research and Portugal is the warmest spot in Europe in February (60's) and everything fell into place.
We will be visiting Porto and Lisboa so if anyone has any tips feel free to chime in, I would love to hear them!

Now for what I am wearing!
This pearl beaded balloon cardigan is only $16 and comes in 5 different colors. It is so comfortable and instantly takes your look from drab to fab it's just perfect for layering and has the cutest pearl details.
I paired this cardigan over one of my favorite camis (I own it in black and white & it's the best $10 you will ever spend) and one of my favorite pairs of high waisted jeans that sadly bit the dust when we were moving. I am on the search for a new pair and just added these to my cart, hopefully they will fill the void that left me when I bent down and ripped these jeans!
