Wedding Wednesday with WeddingWire: Choosing your Venue

Being from New York City the possibilities when planning a wedding are endless. Not knowing where to begin I turned to WeddingWire for guidance. As a fashion blogger I have been to many events around the city and had a few ideas that came to mind as I started to look for a venue. Using WeddingWire I started to search through different venue types looking at outdoor spaces as well as large open spaces around the New York area.


1. Rooftop Wedding- initially this was it!  It was all I ever pictured- cocktails on a roof, city views - a New Yorkers dream. With so many rooftop venues in New York this was definitely the first thing I started researching and I knew if I were to choose one of these venues I had to move quick. Using the WeddingWire app I contacted my top picks to check pricing and availability.

2. Industrial setting/ Warehouse - Picture a big open space that is yours to transform into whatever you want for your wedding day. Whether you like that rustic vibe or a complete fairytale these spaces are yours to transform into your dream.

3. Upscale Loft Spaces: I love the idea of a loft space in NYC, most of them are open, white & filled with light- which by the way is a fashion bloggers dream but also perfect for a dream wedding. I also found that a few of these spaces had small outdoor space as well which fit the criteria I was looking for.
