When I moved to my new apartment I canceled my membership to classpass and joined the gym in my building. While the gym is great and has everything I need I still miss those unique classes I was able to take when I had my classpass membership.
During the summer months I have been trying to get out more and keep my workouts interesting. I am not a huge runner but I do enjoy interval running and there are definitely areas in New York City that are spacious enough to get the job done!
Best areas to run in NYC:
1. Battery Park to East River Run: Beautiful run along the waterfront with views of the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge.
2. Central Park Reservoir Loop: Located within the park between 85th street to 96th street with a 1.58 mile path.
3. The Highline: A bit crowded at times with tourists but if you go early enough this 1.45 mile run has beautiful views of the Hudson River.
4. Randall's Island: There is a foot bridge at 103rd street and the FDR that leads you to this park. This park is quiet and spacious and is one of my favorite areas to visit on the weekends.
