Exploring Mexico

Monday, March 13, 2017

The temperatures in NYC dropped this past week and we are expecting a huge storm on Tuesday- since I am still in denial about the weather I began to upload my vacation pictures and finally got the chance to go through them. My boyfriend and I decided to book a last minute getaway right after NYFW and headed to Mexico for some much needed R&R. He was in London the week prior for work and I had been running around like a chicken without a head from event to event for NYFW. A trip to Mexico could not have come at a better time.

We visited Mexico last year for New Years (seen here) and were busy everyday exploring the eco-reserve that we stayed on. It was a fabulous trip but we did not have much beach or pool time so we were looking forward to just RELAXING! And we did just that! We did wander around the hotel a bit and walk the beach but majority of the vacation was spent unwinding.

I found this old Spanish style abandoned house by the beach when we were walking one day and I fell in love with the structure. Honestly, I wouldn't mind moving in and living the beach life in Mexico filled with fresh fruit and avocado. The weather was just perfect every day with minimal clouds and weather in the mid 80's- the only time in rained was the evening before we left so to say the vacation was perfect would be an understatement.

I received this floral print shift dress from Shein right before my trip and thought it was the perfect piece to take along. I actually wore it twice- once during the day over a bathing suit and then again at night to dinner. I love the style of this shift dress and the pattern was perfect for a beach getaway.

What I wore: floral print shift dress Shein c/o, Wedge Shoes: Mari- A c/o, Bracelets:Pura Vida Bracelets c/o
