This week has been a whirlwind to say the least and NYFW usually is. With multiple shows and events happening all around New York us bloggers are usually popping into one place then running to the next. With all that goes on it's hard to unwind but luckily I was able to sit down with a couple of great gals before the craziness of Fashion Week for a "Galentine's" Dinner at Fig + Olive in the Meatpacking District. The restaurant is located on West 13th street (right near the Standard Hotel) and is chic and classy.
What was on the menu? We dined on the Restaurant Week Menu and I must say everything looked delicious. It was hard to narrow down my choices but I decided to go with the a salad, salmon and dessert.
Starter: Manchego, fig, gorgonzola dolce, apple, tomato, walnut, olive
Main: Braised endive, baby kale, cauliflower purée, olive & piquillo condiment
Dessert: Chestnut Mouse with Amarena: Walnut meringue, cherry sorbet
Fig + Olive also has a great array of bites to share including delicious crostinis ( you must check out their bruch menu) and are perfect for a girls brunch or date night!
The tables were decked out with bags from Deux Lux and had great products from Lavido, Surya Brasil, Jaimie Nicole Jewelry, All in the cards New York, Butter London, Glow Recipe and drinks from Core Water (see all the inside contents here)- Everything a girl needs to pamper herself!
