Onto my second leg of my trip, when planning I was searching for something that had it all, part city vacation and part getting away from it all. We threw around some ideas, San Fran to Big Sur, Portland to Vancouver and even looked at Banff but finally decided on San Fran to Lake Tahoe. We made the right decision- only 3.5 hours away from San Francisco, Tahoe was the perfect place to experience The outdoors in California. We rented this sweet designer cabin via vrbo/homeaway on the West Shore of Tahoe not far from Sunnyside. We were a 10 minute walk to the lake and enjoyed sitting on the beach area during sunset.
