Happy New Year! 2015 was filled with great moments and amazing memories and I am excited to start a new year and fill the pages with adventures to come. I'm looking forward to sharing a few posts over the next week from my trip to Mexico. This trip was the perfect way to end 2015 and begin 2016 and though it was my first time visiting the area it will definitely not be my last.
One thing I love about traveling is exploring new places - while visiting Riviera Maya I stayed at the Occidental Xcaret- Royal Club a boutique resort within the resort and was able to explore 25 acres of tropical grounds over the course of a few days. The views were breathtaking from the coastline to the ecological preserve there was so much beauty to take in.
After spending my first day exploring the grounds this was the perfect view to welcome the evening. The breeze from the ocean was refreshing and the sunset was beautiful to watch. With multiple restaurants to choose from picking where to have dinner was next on my list of things to do but being the first night in Mexico I opted to check out the Mexican Restaurant La Hacienda for margaritas, delicious fajitas and of course guacamole.
