Palm Springs: Travel Diary

One more must stop place on my Palm Springs journey was the Ace Hotel and breakfast at King's Highway (a restored Denny's restaurant with a terrazzo floor, sandblasted flagstone walls and recovered booths in saddle leather). The ambience is chic and quite a throwback with a focus on fresh, organic and local ingredients for the cuisine. I started my day with a  sampling of the ricotta pancakes (a winner in my book) and a breakfast burrito stuffed with eggs and potatoes (a hearty meal!). After breakfast a walk of the grounds was a must and with all the chic signs the Ace Hotel won my heart!
Because I wanted to explore every bit of Palm Springs, in the afternoon I headed over to Indian Canyons (exploring some of the high end houses on the way!) and even though I didn't hike through the grounds I was able to explore some of the beauty by driving through and stopping for some picturesque moments.
