A great way to take in all that Charleston has to offer is by taking a carriage ride through town. Palmetto Carriage Tours is located in the heart of the Historic District and is the oldest carriage tour company in Charleston. With the area clocking in at 90 blocks it's divided into 3 zones,  my carriage headed to zone 3 (map) after a lottery drawing (no joke) that decided where our tour was to lead us. In zone 3 we were taken through the beautiful streets of Charleston and learned about the construction of the single home style that is preserved in the town. The carriage ride is an hour and is a fun way to learn some history while enjoying the outdoors.

The Pineapple Fountain is located in Waterfront Park between Vendue Range to the North and Adger's Wharf to the South. This location had historically been a center of maritime traffic with several wharfs and shipping terminals.
