New Years in the Bahamas- there is nothing like it! I spent the day on the beach sipping Island Punch and touring the grounds of the Breezes Resort taking it easy since I knew a long night was ahead of me! New Years at the resort was amazing, I headed out to dinner followed by entertainment at the hotel. The Entertainment kicked off with a fire show followed by singing in the New Year. At midnight balloons dropped from the ceiling and the celebration began! Trumpets filled the air as the resort hosted it's very own Junkanoo parade. Now if you have never been in the Bahamas during this time, I have to tell you it is a once in a lifetime experience and I was thrilled to be in the Bahamas at this special time of year!

After all the festivities at Breezes I headed to downtown Nassau to watch the parade in the town and while I did not catch the whole thing (the parade starts at 2am and goes until noon New Years day) I was able to stay up for a bit and celebrate Bahama style!
