After reading
Vintage Specialists in the New York Magazine this past week, I decided to go on a vintage scavenger hunt of my own and hit some of the stores listed in the pages of the article.
I started at
Showplace Antique + Design (located on 40 W. 25th street) described in the article by Marchesa Designer, Georgina Chapman as " A little labyrinth of stores that remind me very much of
The old antiquarius London"
Her description couldn't be more apt, as I entered I felt just that...as if I were in a labyrinth filled with clothing, furniture, and collectibles. This 4 story "showcase" is filled with over 200 antique galleries- a lot to take in with one visit but I scoped out some goods to share!

By far my favorite Gallery was Marlene Wetherell: Vintage Fashion and Photography...for obvious reasons!
They had some fabulous dresses in stock with brands ranging from Yves St Laurent to Norman Norell, Chanel, Dior and Valentino.
My goal is to check out 1 a week...So until next week you Vintage lovers! Caio!
