The great thing about Fashion Week is that it does not stop at the tents. It swoops into the city in a major take- over and for the entire week it is as if the world around has stopped.
Well, at least my world!

I had the opportunity to attend the
Fashion Fights Cancer event honoring designer
Thuy Diep for her work with the organization. Thuy double teamed Fashion Week. She started off the week with a runway in the tents and closed it out with an event showcasing a handful of designs from her exclusive Fall/Winter 2010 collaboration with Swarovski as well as a custom designed tank that was auctioned off for the charity.

Fashion Fights Cancer is a non-profit organization that works with fashion designers and organizations in the fashion community at large to raise cancer awareness for cancer research centers and hospitals.
