Oversized Sweaters and Over The Knee Boots

Wednesday, January 17, 2018

Hi friends! I took a bit of a hiatus from blogging right after the New Year to recoup from a busy year (don't worry I kept up with my instagram so I was not completely MIA) but I am happy to be back in full action.
Let's fill you in on a few things going on with me!
1. I am in full on wedding planning mode- I booked a place, the food & drinks (very important). I found my dress (it's absolutely gorgeous, stay tuned for where I found it and a sneak peek at some other fab dresses) and now I am thinking decor and all the fine details (see my pinterest board for what is inspiring me).
2. I am prepping for Fashion Week- last year was bitter cold so I have been stocking up on a few faux fur coats to keep me warm as I jet around town (faux fur #1Faux Fur #2).
3. Finally I am trying to sneak off for a short vacay since my last one was in August (where I Just Said Yes ...and yes I am still wokring on my travel guide) and I am in dire need of some sun.

What can you expect from me in terms of posts?

1. More outfits! I am currently changing it up between casual everyday wear like this color block jumper that I paired with OTK Boots and a casual pair of jeans that are one of my go-to pairs and dressier pieces that you can wear out (as seen on instagram).

2. More Sales!! Who doesn't love a sale? I absolutely live for them and love sharing all of my finds with you guys. Head to my Instagram page to see what I have been highlighting you can expect a few new finds a week.

Ringing in the New Year in Style

Sunday, December 31, 2017

Happy New Year! This year has been an incredible one for me- I have traveled to Mexico & Scotland, I have pushed myself in work and life, I got engaged and can't think of anything that tops that! 2018 is going to be the year I get married and I am looking forward to topping 2017 as I head  into the New Year with a bang (wearing a ton of bling).
Cheers to everything that everyone accomplished in 2017 and a double cheers to everything we all will accomplish in 2018!

I am really into gold for the season and absolutely love this metallic dress- it's perfect for New Years or for any celebration throughout the year (also perfect for vacation). I paired this dress with a necklace and earrings from Melissa Lovy and this gorgeous rose gold plated swarovski encrusted bracelet  (that is perfect for Valentine's Day). I topped off the look with my favorite suede and glitter booties that I have worn countless times this season seen herehere & here) and my favorite evening clutch by Chandra Keyser. And since the temperatures have dropped and it is freezing in New York I topped off this look with my new faux fur jacket from Suggesty a new app dedicated to matching your style through a series of questions and then matching you up with a few handpicked designers that fit your likes.

Layered & Chic

Thursday, December 28, 2017

I know we all love to get our shopping in before the holidays but I love shopping after for extra deals. This past week I headed to the Bergen Outlet Mall with my mom and sister to scoop up some extra savings and spend the day out of the city. Winter officially started on the 21st and came in strong- this week has been in the 20's and it is pretty miserable outside. During the winter months I love to layer for extra warmth and this cascade vest is the perfect piece for layering (and is also on sale). I chose to pair this grey vest over this striped tee (one of my go-to pieces) and of course high waisted jeans (that literally fit like a glove).

Classics & Ways to Afford Them

Thursday, December 21, 2017

Ladies- let's talk finances! We all love pretty pieces in our closet- but sometimes we spend a little more than we should and don't save as much as we can. What if I told you their are ways to spend and not feel guilt ridden like some of us do so often? Well I have a little secret for you,
Barneys Bergdorf & Bills is a a girlfriends' guide to finance written by Sydney Hedberg. After majoring in finance in college Sydney found herself to be the girlfriend who doled out advice to her friends in need when it came to finances. While she loved being the one they called for the advice she started wondering why there wasn't a "girlfriends' guide" to explain the nitty gritty to women.
Enter Barneys Bergdorf & Bills- the book to have for yourself or gift to a friend in need. The perfect guide for how to save plus how to have enough cash to buy the things you love and every girl needs that type of fund!
