Rompin' Around

Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Summer in the city could be tough, as the weather heats up the humidity kicks it making it almost unbearable to wear anything but shorts and dresses. Well, thank god for rompers because they are a life saver for summer in the city and I have been stocking up on the cutest rompers around.
I wore this ruffle romper (under $35) to a rooftop event for Sebago shoes- if you follow me on instagram @fashinny you probably saw my instastories filled with guac, margaritas and the cutest shoes for summer.

Shop this fab romper as well as some of my other picks for summer that are all under $200

I love rounding up my favorite fashion-finds for you under $30 (check our last weeks posts Summer on a Budget) this week I am bringing you two piece looks that are perfect for summer. I am loving everything striped, gingham, denim and floral for this season and this line up has a bit of everything. These looks are perfect for a beach vacation or even just lounging on the weekend or for one of those summer BBQs (watermelon included).

Grab my picks below (they're so cheap you might as well pick out a few)

A few weeks ago  I told you all that I went to the Frudia skincare launch on the rooftop at the Gansevoort Hotel in NYC. Frudia is a korean skincare line that is derived in fruit and actually delivers products with the purist form of fruit properties to benefit our skin with minimal loss of nutrients.
With four target areas there is something for everyone- I am loving the blueberry line that is filled with hydration- just what my skin needs.  All products are available at CVS and are affordable- something that is definitely a plus when it comes to skincare. Try it out for yourself- I am a huge fan of the masks!

Stripes & Cutoffs

Wednesday, June 7, 2017

Finding time to unwind in this busy city can be tough but I love squeezing in some "me-time" so that I can regenerate and keep up with my busy life. To be honest, being a fashion blogger and having a full time job is like having two full time jobs and even if I find 20 minutes in a day just to have some alone time I take it. My favorite things to do is to stroll around the city, visit a new space whether is is a rooftop (when it's warm) or a cafe (indoor or out) or to find a seat in one of the many NYC parks and just people watch. It is amazing where your mind can wander!

This Stripe Cold Shoulder blouse caught my eye a few weeks ago and I just needed to add it to my wardrobe. I love the fact that I can wear it to work or out in the evening of the weekend and it pairs with everything from denim cutoffs to jeans. Last week I found some time after work to relax before hitting a few events and after taking a breather I walked around the Gramercy area for a bit. Of course when I wander I love to have a comfortable shoe but if you know anything about it that shoe also better be cute!
These Tassel Espadrilles by Matt Bernson are the perfect shoe for wandering around, they hit the mark in both comfort and style (and they are also available in other colors).

Black N White Stripes

Tuesday, June 6, 2017

I am continuing my love for stripes this season with this black and white stripe cold shoulder dress that I found at Zara for just under $40. I mean, who does not love black and white stripes and the ruffles and cold shoulder only make the dress that much cuter.  I paired this dress with a pair of sandals from Macy's Backstage (another great spot to find amazing deals!) and my new favorite sunnies from Wyeth Eyewear. I am a huge fan of tortoise shell sunnies and this pair is opaque white with tortoise shell temples- a little surprise on the side!

My favorite thing to do in the warmer months in NYC is to grab a drink on a rooftop while taking in the gorgeous views of the city. This amazing rooftop is located at the Gansevoort Park  where the are multiple rooftop decks and even a pool (for the guests). It's nice to have a moment to "get away from it all" in NYC and this rooftop bar definitely makes you feel like you are on a beach vacation!
